A Genea-Angel Award from Barbara Poole "Life From the Roots"

Thanks very much to Barbara Poole for the Genea-Angel Award!  What a lovely surprise!

Barbara writes two excellent blogs that I follow, Life From the Roots, and Flowers From My Area .  She is an outstanding photographer and genealogist-- it's worth your while to follow her blogs!

And, according to 23andMe, Barbara & I are a 0.09% DNA match.  But we sort of  knew that we were related, even before 23andMe.  Actually, it's surprising we don't share more DNA, as we have established a paper trail of over 40 shared ancestors in colonial Massachusetts and New Hampshire!

Heather Wilkinson Rojo, who writes another excellent blog Nutfield Genealogy also shares many of the same ancestors.

Have a great day!

Betty

Wow, you and Barbara could be genetic sisters! Thanks for mentioning my blog, too!

You're welcome Heather! Funny I though Barb & I would actually share lots more DNA. 0.09% is not very much, considering the large number of ancestors we share!
